In KAO daylighting minimizes the amount of artificial light and reduces electricity and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) costs. Making use of natural light can save up to 75 percent of the energy used for lighting buildings and reduce cooling costs. Natural lighting reduces the strain on the eyes compared to other types of home lighting. It also saves energy as it reduces the use of heating and air conditioning. Studies have proven that natural light makes people more productive, happier, healthier, and calmer.
